Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP)

Commitment to Achieving Net Zero

Checkup Health Solutions Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 2024
Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations.

Checkup Health Solutions Ltd has not previously produced a formal organisational carbon footprint. The 2024 reporting period therefore represents the organisation’s first comprehensive assessment of greenhouse gas emissions and has been adopted as the baseline year.

The organisation operates primarily as an office-based technology and digital services provider, with no owned company vehicles and limited physical assets. Emissions sources are therefore concentrated around energy use, digital operations, business travel, waste, and selected supply chain activities.

Emissions have been calculated using the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and the latest UK Government greenhouse gas conversion factors for company reporting.

Baseline year emissions:
EMISSIONS TOTAL (tCO2e)
Scope 1 - Direct emissions (e.g. fuel combustion) 0.00
Scope 2 - Indirect emissions from purchased electricity 1.20
Scope 3 (Included Sources) 3.40
Total Emissions 4.60

Scope 3 included sources:

  • Business travel (rail, taxi, occasional flights)
  • Waste generated in operations
  • Purchased goods and services (office consumables, IT equipment)
  • Employee commuting (estimated)

Current Emissions Reporting

Reporting Year: 2025
EMISSIONS TOTAL (tCO2e)
Scope 1 – Direct emissions 0.00
Scope 2 - Purchased electricity 1.10
Scope 3 (Included Sources) 3.20
Total Emissions 4.30

This reflects early improvements through reduced office energy consumption, increased remote working, and lower business travel.

Emissions Reduction Targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.

  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50% by 2030 from the 2024 baseline.
  • Reduce Scope 3 emissions by 30% by 2030, focusing on travel, procurement and digital efficiency.
  • Achieve Net Zero emissions across all scopes by 2050.

We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 3.0 tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of 50%

Progress against these targets will be monitored annually and reported through updated Carbon Reduction Plans.

Completed and Ongoing Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2024 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 4.60 tCO2e, a 6.52% reduction against the 2024 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract

  • Predominantly remote and hybrid working model to minimise commuting and office energy use
  • Use of energy-efficient office equipment and default power-saving settings
  • Transition to paperless systems and digital documentation
  • Cloud-based service delivery to reduce reliance on physical infrastructure
  • Reduced business travel through use of video conferencing and online collaboration tools
  • Responsible procurement of IT equipment, prioritising energy-efficient devices and longer replacement cycles
  • Waste reduction and recycling practices within office environments

These measures support immediate emissions reduction and form the foundation of the organisation’s environmental management approach.

Future Carbon Reduction Initiatives

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

  • Transition to renewable electricity tariffs where feasible
  • Further optimisation of cloud hosting and digital infrastructure efficiency
  • Formal supplier engagement to encourage lower-carbon goods and services
  • Enhanced monitoring of Scope 3 emissions categories as data quality improves
  • Staff awareness initiatives focused on sustainable digital working practices
